About Us
The York Progressive Network is a coalition of progressive individuals that seek positive change at the local level. As our name suggests, we work entirely within the Regional Municipality of York Region which encompasses The Town of Aurora, The Town of East Gwillimbury, The Town of Georgina, The Township of King, The City of Markham, The Town of Newmarket, The City of Richmond Hill, The City of Vaughan, and The Town of Whitchurch–Stouffville.
Our primary objective is to advocate for progressive policies that benefit the working class, including but not limited to housing, work reform, walkable cities, green cities, and more. We also raise awareness about issues affecting the working class such as food insecurity, homelessness, mental health, labour rights, and more.
Through education and agitation, the York Progressive Network aims to build real working class power from the ground up. Join us!
